AAIS COMMERCIAL
UMBRELLA LIABILITY COVERAGE AND COMMERCIAL EXCESS/UMBRELLA LIABILITY COVERAGE
AVAILABLE ENDORSEMENTS AND THEIR USES
(October 2025)
This listing identifies
endorsements available to modify the American Association of Insurance Services
(AAIS) Commercial Umbrella Liability Coverage and Excess/Umbrella Liability
Coverage. It is organized by endorsement number and title, with a brief description
of each endorsement's purpose. This section does not include any endorsements,
changes, or amendments that are specific to individual states.
The sequence of letters
and numbers in AAIS endorsements has a very specific meaning.
The brief explanation given for each endorsement is only a summary. A
complete review of the entire endorsement, form, notice, or disclosure is
necessary to fully understand how it affects the AAIS Commercial Umbrella
Liability and/or the commercial Excess/Umbrella Liability Policies.
Just a reminder, each coverage letter corresponds to the following
coverage liability:
·
Coverage E = Excess Liability (CU 0001)
·
Coverage U = Umbrella Liability (CU 0001)
·
Coverage L = Bodily Injury and Property Damage
Liability (CU 0002)
·
Coverage P = Personal and Advertising Injury Liability
